The Crosby Music Festival has been running since the mid-1990s.
It is a free festival, organised by volunteers.
Originally using the bars and pubs as venues, the bands playing were mostly the stalwarts of the thriving and high quality local music scene. However there were some notable exceptions as bands from Norway and California also played.
In 2008 this changed when the outdoor stage first appeared. Now the festival was able to attract larger bands to complement the local (and not so local) talent. The stage has remained a fixture, with the festival growing each year.
A hugely successful event in 2009 in conjuction with Hope not hate saw some massive crowds enjoy the May sunshine (yes SUNSHINE over a Bank Holiday weekend!) and the likes of The Real Thing, The Christians, The John Head Band and China Crisis ....plus many more - see the archives.
