CHINA CRISIS
Centred around Gary Daly (vocals/keyboards) and Eddie Lundon (Guitar) China Crisis emerged from Kirby in the post-punk era of the early eighties.
The Bands wide influences (from jazz to progressive rock) resulted in a distinctive sound that set them apart from the other Liverpool bands of the time. The first single "African & White" and then "Christian" brought them national attention. Other hits such as "Wishful Thinking" and "Black Man Ray" followed.
The band's last studio album, Warped By Success, was released in 1994 with a live album "Acoustically Yours" in 1995. 
The band re-formed and toured the UK in 2007 and again in 2008 as support for O.M.D.
